Seare Berhe studied the hydrothermal growth of nanorod films of n-type metal oxide semiconductors (ZnO, TiO2) as well as the synthesis of organic semiconductor compounds (acenequinones, fullerenes, azadipyrromethenes, porphyrins) and the assembly and testing of hybrid excitonic solar cells employing films of oxide-semiconductor nanorods and organic semiconductors. His work has resulted in five first-authored publications in various journals. Seare graduated with his PhD in summer 2014 and is now a part-time postdoctoral fellow and part-time adjunct professor at UNT and at Collin County College.
