Robert Grubbs, an organic chemist from Caltech who won the 2005 Nobel Prize in chemistry for his work on catalysis that has led to a wide variety of applications in medicine and industry, will give a presentation, Design and Applications of Selective Oelefin Metathesis Catalysts at 3:30 p.m. in the Lyceum at the University Union.
The Department of Chemistry was delighted to host him at a reception in the new University Union prior to the Dr. Grubbs' presentation.
