"Congratulations to Whitney Webre, PhD student under Dr. Francis D'Souza. Whitney has been selected by the NSF to
participate in the 2016 EAPSI Fellowship in Japan. This award through the NSF provides
graduate students in sciences the opportunity to gain first-hand research experience,
an introduction to science and science infrastructure, and an orientation to the society,
culture, and language of their host country. This summer, Whitney will travel to
Japan to participate in a research project under the direction of Dr. Jon Hill at
the National Institute of Materials Research, Tsukuba, Japan. The award also includes
financial support for travel, living expenses, and a stipend.
Awesome job, Whitney!"
