Chemistry faculty member, Prof. James Marshall, recently published part II of a two-part
series on his travels for the "Rediscovery of the Elements", titled "Travelogue -
part 2". Dr. Marshall and his late wife Jenny spent many years traveling world visiting
the site of the discovery of each element. His travels took him from mountains and
mines in Eastern Europe to the streets of Paris, collecting the history and a sample
of each element, now featured in the Living Periodic Table on loan in the Chemistry
Building.
