My graduate research work is about a luminescent water soluble phosphor, which is a naturally green fluorescent binuclear Platinum complex. Also, because of its high oxygen sensitivity and sensitivity towards different metals, this complex could be the right choice as a sensor in biological and environmental applications. This project also involves the use of the complex to detect ROS (Reactive Oxygen Species)/RNS (Reactive Nitrogen Species).

Also, currently I am working on a Gold trimer complex that could be used as a biosensor for the detection of a surface protein specifically present on a few cancer cells which are responsible for metastasis.
