THREE CHEMISTRY TAMS STUDENTS ARE 2019 GOLDWATER SCHOLARSHIP AWARD RECIPIENTS

Congratulations to Jonathan Lu, Ellen Qian and David Yue, Chemistry TAMS students, for being recipients of the 2019 Goldwater Scholarship Award. Jonathan and Ellen worked in the research laboratory of Dr. William Acree, and thus far have co-authored 2 and 10 peer-refereed publications, respectively, from their chemistry research. David Yue worked in the research laboratories of Dr. Hong Wang and Dr. William Acree. David is a co-author on 6 papers from his research with Dr. Acree.

According to the Goldwater Foundation website, "The Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation was established by Congress in 1986 to serve as a living memorial to honor the lifetime work of Senator Barry Goldwater, who served his country for 56 years as a soldier and statesman, including 30 years in the U.S. Senate."
