Heritage signs in Banská Štiavnica, such as this, are expressed in a modernistic Boton-type font that are extremely difficult to read. This one is beside the door of the first Mining Academy (previous photo) and is translated: "Krecniak House. A baroque style house built in the second half of the 18th century using some building material from an earlier gothic structure. Since 1764, M. J. Jacquin, the first professor of the Banska Academy, lived in this house."
