"In this pavilion [separate building] Pierre and Marie Curie continued their research, from 1903 to 1914, continued their fundamental research in radium."
Pierre Curie died in 1906, but Marie Curie continued the research alone. In 1914 she moved to the Radium Institute (see above). In 1906 Marie Curie took on André Debierne (the discoverer of actinium) as her first assistant. Various students join the group over the years and by 1914 there were 15 people on her team.
