This is a plaque devoted to Klaus, mounted on the outside wall of the Butlerov Chemical Institute (see next photo for close-up). Also on the outside wall of the institute are plaques (not shown) posted in honor of A. M. Butlerov, V. V. Markovnikov, N. N. Zinin, A. M. Zaitsev, F. M. Flavitsky, A. E. Arbuzov, and B. A. Arbuzov. Organic chemists will immediately recognize the second name as the eponym of normal electrophilic addition.
