Sniadecki's famed book, "Introductory Chemistry," first written in 1800 and used for over a century. It was the first general chemistry book written in Polish. Sniadecki developed the general Polish vocabulary for chemical terms and nomenclature. Sniadecki was a strict anti-phlogistonist and was current with modern chemical theories. In spite of the tradition of Latin in classes, Sniadecki lectured in Polish.
