"Kungl. Mint" = "Royal Mint" to the left was built in 1696, and demolished in 1784. A laboratory (Laboratorium chymicum) was established in it in 1727, where a hearty forge was available and where Brandt discovered cobalt in 1735 and where Cronstedt discovered nickel in 1751.
"Kungl. Stallet" = "Royal Stables," after which the present bridge is named. "Norrbro" = "North Bridge" which no longer exists; it was directed different from the present bridge (see further). Stromsborg is a small island, still existing. "Glasbruket" was the site on Kungsholmen where Berzelius moved in 1816; it is near the present City Hall (Radshuset).
