This is the east side (view northward) of the Kollegiengebäude am Ehrenhof (Lecture Building on Ehrenhof), which today is a general lecture building but formerly was the Chemical Institute. Here Fajans in 1913 discovered "brevium," or Uranium X2, which later became identified as protactinium-234. This building was erected in 1900, and the Chemical Institute was founded in 1903.
