Careful search, however, occasionally finds a memorial ("Denkmal") to the previous mining industry -- "Fürstenschacht" meaning "Prince shaft." This mine entrance ("Tageschaft") 18/19th century shaft was equipped with a winch. The schaft has been completely filled in and there is no hint of the previous mine entrance. "Halde" means dump; this is where the talus was heaped, but now it has mostly been cleaned up.
