Leonardo da Vinci

  He was an artist and scientist of Florence, Italy, famous for his influential paintings and studies in anatomy, optics, hydraulics, and other areas of science. He was the most versatile genius of the Renaissance, filling notebooks with engineering and other scientific observations that were centuries ahead of their time.
