Two key figures in the Mexico Rediscovery trip were (left) Oscar Fernando Nieto de la Mora, who was mining director of the Peñoles Mine in Zimapán and (center) César Sánchez Lozano, whose family owned the mining sites in the Zimapán area. Cesar was owner of the Lomo de Toro Mine (see below) while his father Romualdo Sánchez had been owner of the Purísima del Cardonal Mine, the historic source of plomo pardo. We will visit Lomo de Toro and then Purísima del Cardonal.
