Previous | Home | NextBunsen was raised in Göttingen, where his father was a professor of modern languages and was librarian at the University of Göttingen (see map 3). His family lived on Untere-Masch-Strasse in the northern part of Göttingen Zentrum (see museum of Göttingen for an old picture). Bunsen was educated at the University of Göttingen and in 1834 as Privatdozent.
