Paracelsus, according to local history, would stroll around Vienna during the day and at night would drink wine with his companions. The legends of Paracelsus in Vienna where he effected miracles are common. According to one story, in a tavern he even transmuted a copper penny into a gold coin! This tavern on Hafnersteig dates to the time of Paracelsus.
