Chemistry professor Dr. Sushama Dandekar was recently awarded the 2020 UNT Foundation Outstanding Lecturer Award, presented by the Office of Faculty Success. The award was presented to Dr. Dandekar during one of her classes on January 27, 2020.

According to the website, this award "recognizes a full-time lecturer who has made significant and sustained contributions to the University as evidenced by the quality of their teaching and service."

Dr. Dandekar is one of our Senior Lecturers who joined UNT in 2000. Dr. Dandekar has positively impacted the lives and careers of innumerable students in her nearly 30 year career as a chemistry education, both at UNT and elsewhere.
